               When I went to the museum I saw one exhibit that really got my attention. It was an exhibit of shoes. Not ordinary shoes but high- heels. When we went in, and all you can see was high- heels everywhere. There was about 600 pairs of shoes from a 1,000 shoe collection. All these shoes, or most of the shoes came from a guy names David. He would get his mom’s shoes and that’s where most of the shoes came from. Some of the shoes were from during war. There were some shoes made from animal skin and some shoes were from the 1800′s. It was an interesting exhibit.

                    Another exhibit that was interesting was the Oregon trail. The Oregon trail was a dangerous adventure. They were people with a wagon that had all the things they needed to survive  the trail. This was a 6 month trail, and they had to walk all the day. They would walk about 8 hours a day. They had 2 Oxen to pull the wagon. When they had no food left they had to eat an Oxen and leave the other one to pull the wagon. This was a very dangerous trail so imagine yourself having to walk 8 hours a day for 6 months straight. Hard don’t you think?

         When I took the career test I was in the area of working for banks.I agree with this because its a good job. I like to do good things in life and maybe this will be my start.My mom has always told me that I need to work hard in school  so I can get a good job.When I was little my favorite subject was always math and it’s still is.I love working with money and sitting down while doing something on the computer.Also when you work in bank you need to know how to type and that’s something I’m looking forward to learn. My mom dislikes her job and wants me to have a good future.          

                        Also before we took the test our councilor was showing us what this program was about.He said that what he wished for all of us was to wake up in the morning and feel good about our job. He also said that to get a job you need to get good grades in school to succeed in life .This job is also great because when I was little I always used to work at a bank. One of my cousins works at a bank and she says that it is not a hard job when  you know good math.She told me that math is what I need to understand to be in this job.I love to go out and not stay home.I also love to go on vacations but in order to do that I need money.I hope I will work in a bank when I grow up and hope not to fail my parents.

                 Have  you ever heard about the japanese camp back in the days? Well it was not a fun camp, for many it was prison. They felt like it was prison because many of them had to leave their homes because they were japanese, and they were ordered to leave because a war was about to begin.They had one suitcase to fit all the clothes of the family,they couldn’t take anymore.The family had to register themselves and then go to the camp.when they had to leave they all had to go on a train. It wasn’t such a good trip because they had the curtains of the train pulled down and they could not see anything.they had no absolute idea were they were going.They all felt scared. Where were they going to take them?             

             When they got to the camp they were surrounded by Barbe wire. Guns were pointing at them,and watching every move they took.Also  they were separated  into 3 different ages. Young,adults,and the old people.Think about this. would you be scared?When the war had finished they were still in the camp but no one wanted them back. So they came to the United States to have a better life. All of this bad dream had ended for all the japanese

       Do you celebrate the Day of the Dead ? I don’t but I pretty know a lot about it.The Day of the Dead is an important holiday to all Mexicans . I’m a Mexican but I don’t really celebrate that. The Day of the Dead is a holiday to honor all people that have died. The Day of the Dead is a mix of Christians and Mexican cultures the day the Dead is usually celebrated on November. This holiday is celebrated on the South of Mexico.

          When it’s the Day of the Dead in  Mexico November 1st is celebrated to all children that have died.They celebrate adults on the second of November . The people that celebrate this go to honor their friends and family that sadly left this world . When  people celebrate this they go to the place where they buried the sibling . At the pant ion is where all the ceremony is. Traditional foods are left at the altars . People also put pan Dulce or sweet bread named el pan de los muertos . Also another bread that people put are donuts covered in pink frosting to represent the bones of the dead.

          In the  altars you might want to place the most important thing of the altar. People put pictures of the person that has died in their alters. Also people put rose petals at the altar representing that the person was in love when they died. This included mole, hot chocolate,and candies . Children sit down andhear the person that has died. The last thing that people put at the altars are the four elements. The 4 elements are earth=salt,water,wind=tissue,and fire=candles. The Day of the Dead is a holiday were we honor all the people that have died.

The tittle of my book is Ghost Girl. The author is Tonya,Hurley. This book’s genre is fantasy. I’m on page 44 and this book is really exciting. It’s about a girl that’s in going to enter High school. She wants to try being popular that year . She starts school and wants to see a guy that she has been searching all summer. His name is Damon. She tries to get his attention but he’s not at school. He comes late and gets stuck being science partners with Charlotte. She is the girl that is trying to be popular. When her science class is over she starts eating gummy bears. Someone slams the door in her face while she is eating her gummy bear . She starts choking on the gummy bear but no one is there watching her so no one helps her. She faints and comes back alive but she is not at scool she is  in the sky she dies could you believe it? Over a piece of gummy bear she is dead and on the first day of school! However like people say you don’t know if you will have a tomorrow. My favorite quote from this book so far is “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep. And if I should die before I awake, I pray the the popular attend my wake” This quote makes me think of how  it’s important to thank to be alive because if you want to be popular  you can’t if your dead. Also on the cover it says “Rest in Popularity” Try this book maybe you will like it.

            The tittle of my book is “Judy moody goes to college”The author is Megan McDonald.This book is fiction.I’m done with the book and I found out so much about it.Have you read the Judy moody series? I have read some of the books and they’re exciting .I’ve been reading one of them called Judy moody goes to college. In this book there is a lot of fun. This story is about when Judy’s failing math at school and her sub thinks it’s a good idea that they take her to tutoring So her parents take her to a college for tutoring. They meet a college girl there that is going to be tutoring her. Judy thinks it’s a bad idea that her parents take her to college for tutoring. She thinks she is capable to continue her normal math because she does not want to go to Saturday college. After Judy goes to college for the first time she feels comfortable and thinks her tutoring girl named Chloe is doing great with her.She starts bragging about college at school and every one thinks that Judy is lying.When she goes to tutoring her hour of tutoring doesn’t fell like an hour. She does art in college and starts doing yoga at her house. Judy goes to school and goes dressed like Chloe . With a dress over her pants.Judy’s teacher comes back and he does a math test to see where his students were at. When he sees the results he gets impressed because every one is doing a bad job in math.One of the students that got a bad grade says “We wanted to go to college like Judy so we started failing” The teacher got impressed he said that college must be fun so that people could start failing grades. This book was much fun. I really recommend giving it a try.

            Hello my name is Adilene but everyone calls me bubbles.I’m 11 years old,but I am going to be 12 in October . I’m in the middle school and i live in Washington state. In the city of Yakima.I like    to play with my friends on my free time. The sports I like to play are volleyball ,basketball,and soccer. I have a wonderful family that I love.Where I live it’s a calm place and everyone is friendly. The holidays I like the mostly are Halloween,Christmas, and Valentine’s day.             

                     I like these holidays because in Halloween I get to dress up as someone I’m not. In Halloween I like to be witches because I can look ugly or pretty. I like Christmas because I get  presents and all my family gathers up. I  also Valentine’s day because I get teddy bears from my friends . I like these holidays because I gather up with my family. I like these holidays and many more. I love sports and a lot of other things. Also I’m really excited of blogging
